This empowerment is what the Bible calls the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. God wants us to be totally immersed in His Spirit to enable us to fulfil His purpose and to live to be God’s witnesses, to use spiritual gifts (like speaking in tongues and prophecy),and to bear fruit for Him: “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses” (Acts 1:8).
