The Gospel of Mark gives a vivid portrayal of what authentic discipleship looks like for those who follow Jesus – from Jesus’ baptism from John the Baptist to His death, this gospel tells the story about the actions and teachings of Jesus that present his ministry and mission.

The story to be recounted by Mark is undoubtedly one of good news.

Jesus’ calling of his disciples is not related to any prior commitment or qualification on their part. It is solely at His invitation that they are called.

PARENTING - GETTING IT RIGHT by Andy & Sandra Stanley

Whether you’re sleep-deprived with a colicky newborn or navigating the emotional roller coaster of a teenager, parenting has its ups and downs, its confusion and clarity. And no matter our family makeup or our children’s personalities, many of us experience anxiety over our children’s futures and often fear making a mistake.

In an inviting, conversational approach, the Stanleys help you understand your most important goal in parenting and learn the steps to pursue it by:

Learning the four distinct stages of parenting
Clarifying the primary goal of parenting and developing a parenting orientation around that goal

The Defined by Jesus course addresses how our upbringing has impacted the development of our mind, our perception of our calling, and what Jesus says about it through His word. Sometimes, this is worlds apart from how we grew up or the environment we find ourselves in. This study aims to give us practical tools to unravel what’s going on and continue the journey we all find ourselves on as Christians … to be like Jesus.

Foundations of our lives – Identify how neural pathways are created, how they form patterns and how attachments are formed

Exploring the ways in which individual believers and church communities can impact a hurting and broken world and see ‘His Kingdom Come’ on earth as it is in heaven.

What is the history of church social engagement? What is the role of the Church? What is God’s heart for justice? How can we truly ‘love our neighbour’?

As we journey together in this course, we will seek to answer some of these questions, explore contemporary global and local issues, and seek to understand how we, the followers of Christ, can helpfully respond if we truly desire to see His kingdom come.
