From 1 November 2026, Secure Parking will take over management of the Hills carpark and will introduce paid parking.
Shortly you will see works undertaken to replace the boom gate infrastructure and you will see Secure Parking signage installed around the campus with advertising, fee structure and terms and conditions just like you would at any other Secure Parking site.
A: In recent years the availability of parking has significantly changed across Norwest and greater Sydney. With no other 1,200-space carpark in the area offering free parking, our carpark has been used by commuters free of charge for a number of years. As a church, we need to steward our property well, and this change brings us into line with other carparks in the area. Additionally, this allows us to regain control of our carpark and improve pedestrian safety by no longer allowing our property to be used as a shortcut between two busy roads.
A: Yes. Everyone can access three (3) hours of free parking on campus. Most visitors complete their visit within this time and will not be affected by the change.
A: The three hours of free parking applies per visit. You can leave and return on the same day to start another three-hour free period.
A: Entry and exit are managed by number plate recognition technology. There are no paper tickets.
A: Parking is free all day on Sundays, with the boom gates up from 4am to 11pm. Anyone coming to church will continue to park for free.
A: Visitors and volunteers who visit mid-week will continue to park for free, as most visits are completed within the three-hour free parking window.
If a visit or volunteer engagement runs longer than three hours, reception can validate the vehicle so there is no charge. This can be done in person during reception hours, or in advance by emailing reception with the visit details (date, time and registration plate).
A: Our childcare families will generally complete drop-off and pick-up within the three-hour free parking window and will not be charged for parking. Longer visits can be validated or pre-arranged through reception. Families who return for pick-up later in the day will start a new three-hour free parking window.
A: Wedding and funeral guests will typically complete their visit within three hours and will park for free. Validation is available for longer stays.
A: Parent drop-off and pick-up will not be affected, as every vehicle gets three hours of free parking per visit. Parents can drop off, exit the carpark and return for pick-up at the end of the night, which starts a new three-hour free parking period.
Youth leaders on campus for more than three hours will have their vehicles validated and will not pay for parking.
A: There are specific days throughout the year when parking is fully free, with the boom gates up. These include:
A: Secure Parking will manage the carpark. For any issues at the boom gate, press the help button to speak with Secure Parking directly.
