The websites on which Hillsong College Ltd (“Hillsong College”) Policy is hosted and is owned and managed by Hillsong International Limited having its registered office at 1-5 Solent Circuit, Baulkham Hills, NSW Australia as trustee for Hillsong International (“Hillsong International”)

This policy explains how Hillsong International, Hillsong College and the website comply “the Law” in respective countries.

Although Hillsong International is based in Australia in making this website available to Hillsong College it has agreed to comply with the Law


Hillsong International has agreed with Hillsong College that:

Hillsong College will manage content on that part of the website dedicated to Hillsong College, for example, where Hillsong College’s Privacy Policy is posted and in particular registration at events and online giving;

  • all personally identifiable information relating in any way to persons acquired from or relating to such persons accessing the website for any purpose including, without limitation:

Although Hillsong College and Hillsong International are separate organisations, they work together and may need to share personal data so that each can carry out their responsibilities and provide products and services you request.

Whilst this Privacy Notice is posted on the website by Hillsong International as a Data Controller, it is on the section of the website managed by Hillsong College where Hillsong College is also a Data Controller of personal data you provide.

If you provide personal data directly to Hillsong College or through involvement at a Local Church, or to staff or volunteers, Hillsong College is Data Controller responsible to comply with its legal obligations under the Law. Where consented, permitted or required by law this personal data is shared with Hillsong International and/or a Local Church each may either process such data on behalf of Hillsong College, or as a joint Controller use for its own purposes.

Where Hillsong College, Hillsong International and/or the Local Church are joint Controllers, each are responsible for how your data is processed, but depending on the purpose for which the personal data is respectively collected and processed may not be jointly responsible for what Hillsong College, or the other, does with that personal data.



Personal information is collected each time you are in contact with Hillsong International or Hillsong College. For example, when you:

  • enquire and/or apply to study at Hillsong College, whether online or through a Local Church.

We do not hold any debit or credit card details for donations/payments made via the website. All card payments are handled by service providers who encrypt card information sent from this website.


  • Hillsong College keeps accurate and up-to-date records of student information. This includes personal information*, academic progress, reports of interviews, financial records and welfare reports in both hard copy and electronic format.
  • Student files include any forms, records of interviews or results while at Hillsong College. This covers hard copies or computerised documentation. These include; Application Form, Pastoral Reference Form, salvation testimony, academic transcripts, records of interviews and any counselling notes (all of which remain private and confidential at all times).
  • Access to these files remain confidential and are accessible by defined personnel according to Hillsong College procedures and privacy legislation.

  • health information to assist attendance at services and events;

We will use the personal information collected for the purpose with your contractual relationship with Hillsong College through enrolment, and your consent provided at the time of collection, or as subsequently provided and legitimate related, education interests, in accordance with the Law applicable from time to time.

We will not use your personal information for any other purpose without first seeking your consent unless authorised or required by law.

Generally, such consents and related legitimate interests may include:

One of Hillsong College’s and Hillsong International’s main providers is The Rocket Science Group in the USA d/b/a MailChimp, which provides us with email communication services and continues to comply with the “Privacy Shield Principles” and the Supplemental principles established by  the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework self-certification program operated by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the standard contractual clauses (‘SCC’s”) for processors as approved by the European Commission or Swiss Federal Data Protection Authority (as applicable).

We do not sell or pass any of your personal information to any other organisations and/or individuals without your express consent unless required by law.


   Financial Records and Card Details:

All credit/debit card donation made online or by phone, are made securely through third party service providers and payment gateways which comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard.

We do not store financial details (credit or debit card numbers) obtained through online transactions nor do we pass any information to third parties, except where we are legally required to do so, to assist fraud reduction, or to provide a service requested and minimise credit risks.

Access To Your Information: Correction & Deletion

Please tell Hillsong International or Hillsong College as soon as any of your contact details change so that records can be kept up to date.

You can change the way you are contacted, or the kind of material sent to you, at any time by contacting us by mail or email using the contact details below.


You can request access to the personal information that is held about you by contacting a Data Protection Officer. Contact details are set out below.

We will take reasonable steps to correct any of your information which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
