COMMUNION
Communion, also, the Lord’s Supper, is a sacred practice where we gather to remember and celebrate the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. We share bread and juice together in the service, symbolizing Jesus’ body and blood, given for the forgiveness of sins. This act of remembrance is a time to reflect on Christ’s love, examine our hearts, and reaffirm our commitment to follow Him. We typically do this every first Sunday of the month in our services.
1 Corinthians 11:26 (NIV) says, “For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” Communion is a profound expression of unity with Christ and with fellow believers.”
MAKE CHURCH HOME
When you ‘make church your home’ it means that you are so a part of things – that you feel right at home. We want you to feel spiritually nourished, supported, and connected. It’s about more than just attending Sunday services—it’s about building relationships, serving others, and growing in your faith in the church community.
It’s about investing yourself in the life of the church; your time, talents, and resources to help fulfill its mission. At a Make Church Home session, you will also learn about our vision and mission as a church and about how our church views church membership.
We typically host ‘Make Church Home’ session on the third Sunday of every month.
In making our church your home, we pray that you will find a place where you belong!
Ephesians 2:19-22 (MSG): ‘You belong here, with as much right to the name Christian as anyone. God is building a home. He’s using us all—irrespective of how we got here—in what He is building. He used the apostles and prophets for the foundation. Now He’s using you, fitting you in brick by brick, stone by stone, with Christ Jesus as the cornerstone that holds all the parts together. We see it taking shape day after day—a holy temple built by God, all of us built into it, a temple in which God is quite at home.’
BABY DEDICATIONS
Children are a gift from God and we love families!
Baby dedications is a meaningful time in our services where parents who desire to honour God in their parenting, publicly commit to raising their child in the knowledge and love of God. Parents promise to nurture their child’s spiritual growth and teach them biblical values and guide them towards a personal relationship with Jesus. We love that it’s through our church community that we can raise our children in God’s way together, in a loving and accountable way.
Full immersion water baptism is something we believe is a step that every person should make as their own decision when they are at an appropriate age of understanding the decision to be baptised.
We typically host baby dedications as a part of our services on the third Sunday of each month.
1 Samuel 1:27-28 (NIV), Hannah says, “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord.”
BAPTISM
Baptism is a significant act of obedience and public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes one’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection, representing the washing away of sin and the beginning of a new life in Christ. Through baptism, a person publicly declares their commitment to follow Jesus, demonstrating that they have died to their old self and have been raised to walk in newness of life.
Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation, marking the start of a lifelong journey with God.
We typically have baptisms in our services on the fourth Sunday of every month.
Romans 6:4 (NIV), “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.”
