About Mike

Pastor Mike Kai would be the first to say that his accomplishments are all attributed to God’s grace at work in his life. Having experienced the power and restoration of God first hand, his life is spent with a burning passion for the lost and for transformation. Pastor Mike’s enthusiasm is evident in his relentless pursuit of God and his real and transparent style of preaching.

His first real ‘taste’ of ministry began with leading the youth ministry at Hope Chapel Kaneohe. After years of being personally mentored by Pastor Ralph Moore, Mike and his wife Lisa started Hope Chapel West O’ahu in 2001. The church began with 40 people and has now grown to over 3,200 in weekly attendance.

His heart for the nations and reaching the end time harvest led him to start Send Hope International Ministries and Equip & Inspire Resources. Send Hope supports and strengthens church planters and missionaries alike as they expand the ministry in Australia, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines. Equip and Inspire offers conferences and resources that develop emerging leaders and strengthen churches in the Pacific Rim and beyond.

Pastor Mike is a sought after speaker and equipper throughout the United States and internationally.
