Parents are supported in their role and given opportunities to build their strengths and increase resilience.
CHILD SAFETY & DEVELOPMENT
Child-friendly environments are created to reduce risk of abuse or exploitation, promote optimal child development, diversity, inclusion and child voice.
SOCIAL CONNECTIONS & SUPPORT
Opportunities for positive social connection in safe, supportive environments. Vulnerable children and families have access to material resources in times of need or transition.
LOCAL NETWORKS & PARTNERSHIPS
Local partnerships are developed to improve outcomes and effectiveness for children & families and increased access to avenues of support.
KEY ACTIVITIES
PLAYGROUP
Playgroup is a safe, inclusive environment in which to promote children’s early development as they interact, play and learn with other children and adults, while still being with their parent/caregiver.
Parents and caregivers meet on a weekly basis during school terms with their babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers. Playgroup offers children a wide variety of play-based learning experiences, an opportunity to interact and play with other children of similar age, and carers and parents an opportunity to meet with others and share ideas and experiences.
