You can find all the ways you can give on our giving page.

Heart for the house is a special season each year in which we refocus our hearts on God’s mission and bring a financial offering in addition to our regular giving.

It’s not primarily about the amount you can give. It is about asking God: “What can it mean for me to be generous in this season?”

We believe that the fruit of what we give in faith today can extend far beyond what we ourselves will ever see. And we pray that our generosity will become part of a spiritual legacy that future generations will build upon.

Throughout the bible we encounter a God who thinks and works across generations. Again and again, God invites people to build something in faith today whose fruit will be seen not only by them but experienced by future generations. With this part of our offering, we want to do just that and lay the foundation for what God is calling us to do as a church.

In our brochure, you can read more about the projects we have planned in this area. For example, we would like to take the first steps towards establishing our new campus in Bern, invest in our home in the heart of Munich, and equip the next generation of leaders.

A significant part of our heart for the house offering is invested directly into our local campuses, helping provide the venues and pastoral leadership that make church happen week after week. Our campuses are more than buildings. They are places where people encounter Jesus, find community, experience healing and hope, discover their gifts, and grow in their faith.

Through our giving, we invest in the people and places that carry this work. Our giving helps create the environment for church to continue happening, Sunday after Sunday.

Our heart as a church is outward-focused, looking beyond ourselves to see the kingdom of God unfold across the globe. By bringing practical help to those in need, we carry the light and hope of Jesus into our cities and beyond.

Beyond our DACH region we are a global church and stand together in unity to plant and build new churches across the word.

  • What exactly is Heart for the House?

Heart for the House is a special season each year in which we, as a church family, refocus our hearts on God’s house and mission. In addition to our regular giving, we have the opportunity to come together on the Heart for the House Sunday to bring a financial offering in faith that goes beyond our tithe.

This way, we make room for the steps of faith that lie before us and we invest in what God wants to do through His Church in our cities, in our nations and in the generations to come

  • Why a financial offering?

In Romans 12:1, Paul describes our whole life as a living sacrifice to God. Therefore, the way we handle money is also part of following Christ and an expression of our trust in God.

When we give, we don’t do so to earn God’s favour. On the contrary: we are responding to what we have already received from Him. Our finances, our work and even the gifts and talents that enable us to earn a living are, ultimately, entrusted to us by God.

  • What amount should I give?

Generosity does not begin with a specific sum; it begins in our hearts. ‘Heart for His House’ is an offering to God; it is our response to His generosity, and an expression of our trust that He will provide for us.

An offering also means that we sacrifice something when we give. We see an example of this in the case of the poor widow about whom we read in Mark 12. Although the amount she gave was small, Jesus singled out her generosity: ‘Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything – all she had to live on.’ (Mark 12:43–44, NIV).

Heart for His House is therefore an invitation to ask God what a genuine act of generosity and faith might be for each of us personally. We hope that we will give willingly, full of trust and with an open heart, rather than out of pressure or obligation.

  • What will the offering be used for?

In our brochure, we explain in detail how we intend to use our ‘Heart for the House’ donation this year. You can find it further up on this page.

  • How was the 2025 offering used?

You can find out more about how we used our 2025 ‘Heart for His House’ offerings in our brochure. You’ll find it further up on this page.

  • How can I give my ‘Heart for the House’ offering?

Further up on this page, you’ll find the various ways to give.

  • What if I can’t make it to the ‘Heart for the House’ Sunday?

That’s unfortunate, but it’s not an issue. If you can’t make it to the ‘Heart for the House’ Sunday, you’ll also have the chance to give the following Sunday, or you can donate by bank transfer or online. You’ll find more information about this further up on this page.

  • Will I receive a donation receipt for my offering?

Yes. Once a year, we issue a donation receipt to our donors. To ensure we can correctly allocate your donation and issue you with a receipt, we need your full address.

If you donate via our online form, you can enter your details directly into the form. If you donate by bank transfer, you’ll need a ChurchSuite account with your full address on file so that we can clearly identify your donation. If you give cash during the service, please fill in the relevant fields on the donation envelope in full.

If you’re liable for tax in Switzerland, special conditions apply. You can find further information on this under the relevant question.

  • I pay tax in Switzerland. What do I need to know?

This year, there is a change for everyone who is liable for tax in Switzerland: from now on, you can give your heart for the house offering via the designated association, ‘Hillsong Genève’. The association is part of Hillsong DACH and is a tax-recognised organisation in Switzerland. This means that, subject to the applicable conditions, your donation can be taken into account in your annual tax return.

For you, nothing changes in terms of what you’re giving to: Your offering remains part of Heart for the House and supports our shared mission as Hillsong DACH.
