Alpha is a series of interactive sessions designed to start an open and honest conversation around some of the BIG QUESTIONS OF LIFE.
Topics at Alpha include: “Who is Jesus?”, “Why did he die?”, “How do I read the Bible?”, “How do I pray?”, “Who is the Holy Spirit?”, and “Does God heal today?” Alpha runs all across Australia, in churches, cafes, homes, prisons, and online. No two Alphas will look exactly the same but they typically have the same three main elements; eat food, watch a talk, and discuss.

Alpha is for anyone who’s curious, with interesting talks designed to encourage conversation around the basics of the Christian faith. It is an opportunity for anyone to explore faith. It’s relaxed, low key, friendly and fun. Ask anything. At Alpha, no question is out of bounds and you are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. No question is too simple or too complicated.
Do I have to be a Christian to attend?
“Not at all. Alpha is designed primarily for people who wouldn’t describe themselves as Christians or church-goers. It’s a space for anyone who is curious about faith or who has questions about life and spirituality.”
What if I start and I don't think it's for me?
“There’s no pressure to continue. If after the first few sessions, you think Alpha isn’t for you, there’s no obligation to keep coming.”
What if I'm curious but I don't know how to engage?
“In the conversation time, you share what you think. You can say as much or as little as you want, and nothing is off-limits. Seriously.”
