Donating to the Refugee Response fund will help us provide a warm welcome for unaccompanied minors and help families set up a home and their life in the UK.

In late 2015, this enabled us to purchase and convert two old shipping containers into sanitation units for the refugees held in the Calais ‘Jungle’ Camp. These saw approximately 800 people use the facility each day! Using the units for purposes such as filling containers with clean water for cooking and drinking, as well as for personal hygiene including shaving, brushing teeth, cleaning crockery, and laundry. The fund now allows us to send welcome packs to refugee youth coming in to the UK, help Syrian refugee families set up homes and lives and allows us to do local projects such as football nights and DIY projects for refugees living in our communities.
