We as a church believe in the power of prayer. Every Sunday we pray together for the needs of the people in our Church. Share with us what we can be praying for and what you’re thankful for.
What we’re believing for this week
What we’re thankful for this week
2 Chronicles 7:14 says “…if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.”
Unite714 is a global prayer initiative uniting churches, pastors, leaders and individuals across the globe to pray daily at 7:14am and 7:14pm. Wherever you are at those moments, we’re encouraging you to take a moment and pray with us and believers all over the world.
What We’re Praying For
PEACE OF MIND AND PEACE OF HEART
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.> John 14:27 NLT
We’re praying that in this time that people would experience a divine peace of heart and mind, something only Jesus can give. You can pray for your household, for your group or any particular person you know is struggling at the moment.
HEALTH & HEALING
News about [Jesus] spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon possessed or epileptic or paralysed—he healed them all. Matthew 4:24 NLT
We believe that Jesus can heal the sick, there is no sickness or disease he cannot heal, no situation he cannot change, so we want to encourage you to pray for those you know are sick. Pray the spreading of COVID-19 would stop and health would be restored.
FINANCIAL PROVISION AND FINANCIAL PROTECTION
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?…
“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. Matthew 6:25, 31-33 NLT
With many industries experiencing challenging times, we want to encourage everyone to pray for both peace, but also financial provision. Provision for people who may have lost their jobs, contracts for those who are running their own business. Pray for wisdom and innovation as employees and business owners need to adapt.
FOR THE LEADERS OF OUR NATION
I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity.. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 NLT
Our leaders have some challenging decisions to make and need our support and prayers. We encourage you to pray for wisdom for our political leaders, pray also for strength and peace. Pray for the leaders of the NHS who are working tirelessly across the country.
