The World’s Largest Displacement Crisis is Happening Right Now.
The escalation of conflict in Sudan has turned a fragile situation into a catastrophic humanitarian emergency. Millions of families have been plunged into severe crisis, stripped of their homes, their safety, and their futures.
The need is overwhelming, and time is running out.
The Devastating Reality in Numbers
Nearly 12 million people—including 5 million children—have been forced to flee their homes in search of safety, food, and shelter.
Nearly 9 million children are experiencing acute food insecurity. Crucially, 700,000 children under the age of 5 are at immediate risk of dying from malnutrition.
An entire generation’s future is compromised as 19 million children are currently unable to access education.
Meet Rachida: A Story of Survival
Imagine losing everything at just eight years old.
Rachida lost her entire family—her father, mother, and three brothers—to gunfire. Terrified and alone, her aunts carried her on their backs across the border into Chad. They initially built a fragile shelter out of sticks and clothing, but the heavy rains quickly destroyed it.
Thankfully, Rachida and her aunts were welcomed into a World Vision supported camp. Today, they have a secure shelter, clean water, and a safe place to stay until it is finally safe to return home.
There are millions of children like Rachida who still need our help.
Programs to prevent and treat acute malnutrition and keep families from starving.
Vital medical supplies and services to treat diseases like malaria, measles, and diarrhea, alongside critical maternal care.
Constructing hygiene facilities to ensure clean water access and halt the spread of deadly infections.
Providing safe, sturdy shelters for families living in camps and host communities.
Creating safe spaces and offering psychosocial support to help children cope with trauma and resume learning.

89% Recovery Rate: Over the last 10 years, by the grace of God, 89% of the severely malnourished children we treated made a full recovery.
“Our vision is for every child, life in all its fullness. Our prayer, for every heart, the will to make it so.”
