A Light Has Dawned: The Morning Star Rises

Advent is the season when we look toward the light with blazing anticipation.
In Scripture, Jesus calls Himself “the bright Morning Star.” The morning star appears at the very darkest point of night, when it feels as if dawn may never come. Yet its light announces a promise: the night is almost over. The morning star doesn’t simply shine alone; it pulls the dawn behind it. Just as surely as that star brings the sunrise, Jesus brought the kingdom of God with Him, breaking the power of darkness with His unstoppable light.
That is the story of Christmas. The light has already dawned, not just over Bethlehem, but over our world, our homes, and our hearts. In our waiting, wondering, and weariness, the Morning Star has come. Hope still breaks through. Peace still reigns. Joy still erupts. Love still wins.
This Christmas, we invite you and your loved ones to celebrate the One who is both promise and fulfillment, the Light of the World and the Morning Star who pulls the dawn behind Him.
Join us for London Carols at the Dominion Theatre, gather at Advent and Christmas services across the nation, and take part in initiatives that bring His light to others.

Together, they face judgment, uncertainty, and long roads ahead, all leading to Bethlehem, and the miraculous birth that changed everything.

As we enter the Christmas season, we’re reminded that Jesus is the light of the world — and we get to share that light through our Christmas Giving! For many, this time of year can be difficult for reasons such as isolation, illness, or financial pressure.

This year, we’re believing to make Christmas special and joy-filled for individuals, families, and communities across the UK. With your prayers, generosity, and heart to serve, our goal is to provide 2,200 gifts and luxury hampers — shining Christ’s light in every place we reach.

Gift Aid is a valuable initiative of the UK Government, allowing charities to receive an additional 25p for every £1 donated by UK taxpayers. This boost is achieved by reclaiming the basic rate of tax already paid on your donation. When you make a Gift Aid Declaration, the total value of your donation can increase, and it won’t incur any extra cost to you.

When you make a donation online or via our Giving App, we’ll guide you through the process of registering and claiming Gift Aid. For those who prefer giving through a standing order or bank transfer, we have provided an online declaration form, which can be accessed below.

If you choose to contribute via bank transfer or by using an envelope during one of our weekend services, we’ll request that you create your personal 7-character Giving ID. You can craft this unique identifier using your initials, birthdate, or any combination of characters that suits you.
