Together, we hope for a society where no family feels alone, and every child has a home where they can flourish.
Seeing Children and Families Flourish
At Safe Families and Home for Good, we have a vision rooted in hospitality, justice, belonging and collaboration. We hope for a society where no family feels alone, and every child has a home where they can flourish. We believe the Church is central to this vision.
Every 15 minutes, a child comes into the care system in the UK. We each have a part to play to ensure that every child and young person experiences the stability and care they need to thrive. We work to inspire more people open their homes to children in care, equip more churches to wrap around those who do, and support more people to come alongside families, creating communities of true welcome and belonging.
Deep and lasting transformation can only occur when we come together and so we are delighted to be partnering with Hillsong UK as we, together, create church communities of true care and belonging.
It can come in grand gestures, but more often it appears in small, quiet moments. A knock at the door, a listening ear, sharing a warm meal.
We asked those with lived experience of the care system, foster carers and adoptive parents: Where have you seen a promise of hope?
Empowering, Inspiring, Influencing
Through our family support programme, we connect volunteers from local churches and communities with families who are isolated and overwhelmed. These volunteers offer friendship, practical help and a listening ear – building relationships that restore dignity, reduce pressure, and help families stay together.
At the same time, we walk alongside those exploring fostering, adoption, or supported lodgings – offering guidance, support and connection. Because, when children sadly do need to come into care, they deserve to be welcomed into homes and communities that are safe, stable and full of love. We are committed to inspiring individuals within church communities to consider opening their homes to foster or adopt.
We believe that deep and lasting transformation can only occur when we collaborate with
others. By partnering with local churches, we reimagine what true care and community can look like. We have a range of courses and resources for churches or small groups to delve deeper into God’s heart for children and families, and to inspire individuals to consider what their response might be.
We firmly believe that every single one of us has part that we can play – whether you can offer an hour, or a lifetime.

Fostering provides a safe, loving home for care experienced children and young people.

Adoption provides a permanent, loving family and a safe, nurturing home for a child in need.

Supported Lodgings can offer 16–25-year-olds a supportive home, and guidance during their transition to independence.

Our befriending programme connects isolated and overwhelmed families with loving volunteers, inviting them into community.
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families.
Stand with children and families in prayer
1. Pray for children and young people entering care, who feel hopeless and scared about all the unknowns, pray that God would give them peace.
2. Pray for families facing challenging circumstances alone, that they would encounter the hope of Jesus, the certainty of His love and His promise of a place prepared for them.
3. Pray for churches to be places of welcome, where care-experienced young people and those feeling isolated can find safety, love and belonging.
4. Pray for each child in foster care today: that God would fill their hearts with purpose, they would know His love and sense that there is a plan and purpose for their lives.
5. Pray for children and young people who are meeting their foster/adoptive/supported lodgings family for the first time. Pray that the new relationships they are forming will provide stability and security.
