Generation to Generation
Heart for the Mission is our annual opportunity to give over and above our regular giving—an invitation to step into something bigger than ourselves as a church.
More than an offering, this is about the heart. Generosity isn’t just something we do—it’s part of who we are as followers of Jesus. As we give, God forms something in us, not just builds something around us, aligning our lives with His Kingdom and mission.
We are not just a church that gathers—we are a church on mission. A mission to reach people, build lives, strengthen communities, and see the Kingdom of God advance across the UK and beyond.
This year, with a faith goal of £800,000, we are believing together for a miracle—not through a few, but through all of us, each playing our part. Reaching this goal will enable us to complete the Hippodrome—moving it from an ongoing project into a fully established space for worship, community, and mission. More than finishing a building, it releases us: freeing us from carrying this as a long-term financial burden, and allowing us to lift our eyes and invest into new locations, new communities, and new opportunities across the UK.
The theme of this season is Generation to Generation: Kingdom Mission. “One generation commends your works to another” (Psalm 145:4). What we build now creates a platform for the next generation—this is about legacy.
This year is a little different. Our Local Initiative giving will go toward the completion of the Hippodrome—helping establish a space that can serve the Church and its mission for generations to come. We will also continue to give 10% of all Heart for the Mission giving to our Social Impact initiatives, both locally and through our global partner, Vision Rescue.
This isn’t about equal giving, but everyone playing their part. As we step forward in faith, we believe this won’t just be a moment—but a turning point for what God wants to do next.

We can achieve more together through the collective generosity of our entire Church. In 2026, our National Initiative is focused on one shared goal: completing the final development of the Golders Green Hippodrome in North London. This space will serve as a hub for community, transformation, and outreach, while also creating sustainable opportunities that support the future of the Church. As we invest into its completion, we are strengthening today’s mission and laying foundations for generations to come.
Our heart is to see lasting, meaningful impact in the communities around us. Across the UK, our Social Impact initiatives— alongside our longstanding global partnerships—continue to serve, support, and reach people in practical and life-giving ways. Together, these efforts enable us to make a consistent and sustainable difference in the lives of individuals and communities. We’ll continue to allocate 10% of everything given through Heart for the Mission to support our local and global social impact initiatives.
These initiatives create opportunities to meet specific needs across each of our Hillsong UK locations. Every location focuses on one of two areas— “Generations” or “Welcome Home”—allowing for a clear and intentional investment into the life and growth of each community. While this year, all giving is directed toward our National Initiative, we remain committed to our local locations and will return to focused local giving in the year ahead.
This year, our focus shifts away from Local Initiatives as we come together to complete the Hippodrome. But this is not a change in priority—Local Initiatives will return next year and will always remain central to the life and heart of our church.
We are deeply committed to creating spaces that embody a “Welcome Home” where individuals discover belonging, a relationship with Jesus, community, and purpose. Every moment, from forging friendships in the foyer to experiencing salvation during our services, is profoundly significant. By investing in specific resources and equipment, we aim to empower each location to create environments where people can encounter God and make meaningful connections with others.
We firmly believe that God is a generational God, continually working from one generation to the next. Our Church is dedicated to paving the path for people of all ages to connect with Jesus and nurture their relationship with Him. We aspire to create spaces that foster personal transformation and community engagement, equipping individuals and sparking inspiration among both the present and future generations.
In January 2022, we were blessed to acquire the Golders Green Hippodrome, a historic London landmark now reimagined as a hub for worship, community, and mission.
Over the past few years, we have faithfully invested into this space. Today, it has become the heartbeat of our North London congregation; hosting weekly services, baptisms, and gatherings for youth and young adults. What was once a cultural landmark is now a place where lives are being transformed. Now, we have a unique opportunity to bring this work to completion. In 2026, our Heart for the Mission giving— both local and national—is focused on one shared goal: finishing the Hippodrome.
Completing this project doesn’t just give us a building, it releases us. It frees us from carrying an ongoing financial burden. It positions us to invest more into mission, not maintenance. And it creates space to reach more people, strengthen communities, and move forward as a church.
To make this possible, we are believing together to raise £800,000 this year—our commitment toward the final stage of this £4.3m renovation. This next phase will see the restoration of the building’s exterior façade, the creation of a new foyer and café space, upgrades to heating and cooling in the auditorium, and full bathroom renovations. It also includes reopening and restoring the upper balcony, installing new seating, adding a permanent baptism pool, refreshing the auditorium, and continuing key production upgrades.
This is a faith goal. Not equal giving, but everyone playing their part. A moment for us to pray, to lean in, and to step forward together. Because what we build now will serve not just this moment, but generations to come.
This work will help us design what is needed to transform The Hippodrome into a modern, accessible, and inspiring space for community and church use.
Key areas of design and planning include architectural upgrades to the foyer for better flow and acoustics, tiered seating and refreshed interiors in the auditorium, structural and safety improvements in the upper circle, and an expanded, more versatile stage. Designs and plans to restore the exterior with improved accessibility, a new entrance canopy, and modern signage, while creative spaces like dance, music, and film studios are planned to be added to support ministry and youth programs. With a projected investment of £4 million, these enhancements aim to revitalise The Hippodrome as a dynamic hub that supports both community engagement and church outreach.

Resettling refugee families in the UK, offering support and empowerment to asylum-seekers, creating pathways to self-reliance and integration.
Providing vital resources such as food, education, medical aid, skills training, and holistic assistance to children and families residing in India's slums.

This boost is achieved by reclaiming the basic rate of tax already paid on your donation. When you make a Gift Aid Declaration, the total value of your donation can increase, and it won’t incur any extra cost to you.
When you make a donation online or via our Giving App, we’ll guide you through the process of registering and claiming Gift Aid. For those who prefer giving through a standing order or bank transfer, we have provided an online declaration form, which can be accessed below.
If you choose to contribute via bank transfer or by using an envelope during one of our weekend services, we’ll request that you create your personal 7-character Giving ID. You can craft this unique identifier using your initials, birthdate, or any combination of characters that suits you.
The Hillsong Foundation UK’s purpose is to enable and finance the Church’s mission. Our aim is to establish the Church in cities across the nation, offering a “Welcoming Home” for everyone to encounter God while actively embodying the teachings of Jesus, both locally and globally. We achieve this through our National Initiatives, Local Initiatives, and Social Impact Initiatives, collaborating with like-minded non-profit organisations in the UK and worldwide to bring awareness and aid to the vulnerable.
