Regular Giving
One of the key areas we are believing to strengthen this year is our church finances, and a significant way in which we can achieve this is through regular giving.
Currently of the people attending our services across the UK, 29% are either tithing or giving regularly, whilst one-off donations and occasional giving make up 71%. Increasing the number of people who give on a consistent basis from 29% to 40% would enable us to establish a solid financial foundation that would allow us to meet our current responsibilities. Once this is achieved, seeing regular giving increase from 40% to 45% would then allow us to move towards having more pastoral staff, more locations and churches, and wider social impact and reach.
How can you play your part?
If Hillsong Church is your home, then this is an invitation to step into a lifestyle of faith and generosity, not just for a moment or moments, but to become a regular giver, someone who gives faithfully and consistently over a sustained period of time. Tithing (bringing the first 10% of your income) is a great example of practicing this, but perhaps a first step for some is to simply make a decision to start somewhere, whether that’s downloading the Hillsong Give App and selecting ‘recurring’ when it comes to your gift, selecting ‘recurring’ when giving online, or setting up a monthly standing order.
Together, our goal is that faith and generosity won’t just remain the conviction of a small percentage in our congregation, but that it would become a shared conviction that becomes one of the defining hallmarks of who we are as a church.

Gift Aid
Gift Aid is a valuable initiative of the UK Government, allowing charities to receive an additional 25p for every £1 donated by UK taxpayers. This boost is achieved by reclaiming the basic rate of tax already paid on your donation. When you make a Gift Aid Declaration, the total value of your donation can increase, and it won’t incur any extra cost to you.
How to Claim Gift Aid
When you make a donation online or via our Giving App, we’ll guide you through the process of registering and claiming Gift Aid. For those who prefer giving through a standing order or bank transfer, we have provided an online declaration form, which can be accessed below. As a UK taxpayer you understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
Your Unique Giving ID
If you choose to contribute via bank transfer or by using an envelope during one of our weekend services, we’ll request that you create your personal 7-character Giving ID. You can craft this unique identifier using your initials, birthdate, or any combination of characters that suits you.
