A note from the Hillsong Social Justice Team
It’s Refugee Week in the UK from 20–26 June with Monday 20th June recognised as World Refugee Day. It provides an excellent opportunity to honour and celebrate the strength, contributions and courage of people who have no option other than to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution. This year’s key theme for Refugee Week is ‘Healing’ and the vision is for refugees and asylum seekers to be able to live safely within inclusive and resilient communities, where they can continue to make a valuable contribution. As part of Refugee Week, we can all do something through simple acts of kindness or reading more about our projects below and how you can get involved.

Refugee Week 5 Day Devotional
From 20-26 June 2022 the annual Refugee Week takes place in the UK and starts with the global World Refugee Day on Monday the 20th of June. Both initiatives honour and celebrate the strength, contributions and courage of people who have been forced to flee their home country to escape conflict or persecution.
The theme of Refugee Week this year is ‘Healing’, and we believe that as a church we are uniquely positioned to walk along, welcome and bring healing to refugees and asylum seekers in our community. We pray that this short devotional will help you reflect on the biblical approach to the refugee and stranger in our country and prayerfully consider what our response could be.
