There is nothing better than gathering together the women of our church! On June 29th at the Hippodrome, Golders Green, London we will be hosting Sisterhood One Day, a single day event where we can worship, pray, open the word, and create space and time for God to speak and move!
Through Sisterhood and Colour there is a rich heritage of women’s ministry in our church, which has left an indelible mark on so many lives. We strongly believe in the mandate to continue to place value on womanhood and to create environments for women to be encouraged, empowered and equipped to become who we are called and created to be.
Many have missed gathering in a conference environment; Sisterhood One Day will be a glimpse of what lies ahead, as we move towards cultivating a new landscape for Sisterhood UK gathering together.
Alongside Nicola Douglass and the Hillsong UK team we will be joined by Rachel Hickson. Rachel is a prophet, preacher and prayer warrior, who has ministered in nations across the earth for over 3 decades. We are excited she will be joining us for Sisterhood One Day, and we know she will be a huge blessing. So, call your girlfriends, organise babysitters, register your seat and get ready for God to show up and do what only He can!
Gathering together with the women of our church is something that has been transformative in my life. As I have prayed about what Sisterhood One Day could be, I could not move past the statement ‘HERE I AM’!
There is so much power in showing up and saying to God, ‘Here I am!’
Many times in scripture this simple statement is spoken and it leads to a life changing moment with God. This is what I am believing for us, that as we each come together, with a heart that says
‘Here I Am God’, that he will do something transformative, miraculous and undeniable in our midst.
What will your ‘HERE I AM’ be?
Nicola Douglass alongside her husband Tim, is our Lead Pastor for Hillsong UK. Nicola is originally from the UK and moved to Australia in 2002 where she met Tim and have now served in ministry alongside one another for over 20 years. Together with their 3 beautiful children they relocated back to the UK in 2021. Nicola has a deep love for studying the Word, she is a powerful and prophetic communicator, and she has a big vision for placing value on women and encouraging them to be all they can be in Christ.
Rachel Hickson has been married for 40 years to her wonderful husband, Gordon. Together they have two children (Nicola Douglass being one of them) and six grandchildren. Rachel has a passion to see radical lovers of Jesus shift the atmospheres in our society today and fervently believes that an army of ordinary people like us can do it! She is the author of 12 books and is recognised as a prophet by many church networks and denominations and has preached the word of God across the world for over 3 decades.
Alongside Nicola and Rachel, our Hillsong UK Team will be hosting different elements across the day. From worshippers to speakers and everything in between, each are filled with faith, passion and authority. Together we are praying into and preparing a beautiful day to create a space that will leave you feeling faith filled, valued and encouraged as you head into the rest of 2024.
