Our Youth ministry is a place where young people can find community, encounter God, grow in their relationship with Him, reach their friends for Jesus, and have loads of fun doing it! At Hillsong Reading, we encourage our youth to sit together on Sundays. We also have a weekly youth program on Friday evenings, and other programmes throughout the year for young people aged 11-17..
Fuel
Fuel is the youth community for our 11-14 year olds. The Fuel community stays in the main auditorium for worship and then heads out for an intentionally created service called ‘Refuel’, which involves games, a message, and Crews.
Wildlife
Wildlife is the youth community for our 14-17 year olds. They sit together in church on Sundays, hang-out afterwards, and then meet on Friday’s for Crews.
Youth Crews
Crews are a great way for young people to have conversations about their faith, grow in their relationship with Jesus, and make friends in church. They usually consist of approximately ten youth, with two leaders facilitating discussions around the bible.
Get involved!
If you or someone you know would like to get involved, please speak to one of the team in the foyer, or if you would like to join the team you can express your interest here.
Hillsong Kids is where all kids, parents, and guardians can find friendship and community. Our exciting programmes aim to provide an environment where you and your children can deepen their faith and understanding of God whilst having fun and making friends!
We can provide Kids programmes for children ages 3 to 11 years old.
Buddies & Champions (Age 3-5)
Buddies & Champions is led by our amazing team of volunteers where your child can meet other children of the same age, engage in fun games and activities, or have a quiet story or playtime. During our programme, the children will participate in live or video format worship and bible-based stories specifically designed for their age.
Voltage (Age 6-11)
Voltage is an exciting space where children meet other children, build friendships and engage in lively games and activities. Our bible-based curriculum is taught through live preaching or shared in a video format followed by small group discussions to support children in their faith journey.
Spaces will be made available on a first-come, first-served basis, and parents should register their children upon arrival. Registration closes 5 minutes before each service. If you do not manage to get your kids into Kids Church, your children are more than welcome to stay with parents in the service.
Our kids and safeguarding policies can be found here.
If you would like to get more involved by joining the Kids Team, you can express your interest here.
We want to give parents and guardians the best experience possible when attending any of our services.
We have an area available every Sunday morning for those with children aged 0 – walking. It has a live feed into the main auditorium, as well as a space to feed babies.
It’s a warm environment where you can connect with other families in church, whilst also attending the service, and provides privacy for feeding too.
The area is available as soon as doors open, and no registration is required. Please speak to one of our team if you need further assistance.
As a church, we believe that children are a gift from God. (Psalm 127:3, Luke 2:22, 1 Samuel 1:11)
We hold Baby & Toddler Dedications during our Sunday services and parents are invited to the platform with their children to be prayed over by the Pastor and congregation.
Dedicating your child before Him is a way of committing your child to God, and an opportunity to celebrate with your family, your friends, and your church community.
If you would like to register your child to be dedicated in one of our services, please click here.
If you’ve recently made a decision to follow Jesus, getting baptised in water is a great next step in your journey of faith.
Baptisms are an outward declaration of the decision you have made in your heart to surrender to Jesus. It provides a marker in your life that anchors your faith when you face the hard times of life. It becomes a reference point that God has saved you and is faithful to continue what he has started in your life.
If you would like to register to be baptised, please click here.
We have a number of policies in place to keep you safe whilst attending or engaging in any church activities, and can be found here
If you have any questions or concerns regarding these policies please contact [email protected] or call 0207 384 9200 and ask to be put through to the Legal Department.
